  1. Xbox One Headset cutting out and random bursts of static

This is the 3rd headset that I have no had to go with the Xbox One and yet I am still getting issues. The first 2 flat out didnt work, not detected by the controller at all and unable to do anything. My 3rd replacement came today and I finally have audio
in my headset, its crystal clear. Only issue now is when using the Skype call to test the headset out I get random bursts of over bearing static and sometimes it just cuts my voice completely.

I'm tempted to just fork out the money for an adapter and a 360 headset or indeed £50 for the official stereo headset but at the success rate of any headset related product I have owned for the Xbox One I honestly cant see a point. Controller is updated,
pretty much tried everything so any advice?

    :)

Turtle Beach static / not working

OP just curious when your headset is getting static or cutting out, is your controller vibrating at the same time. If so then that is a known flaw with headsets such as the one you are using especially if you have the older controllers from when the Xbox
    One released.

  3. Headset issues

So I have a problem with my headsets cutting in and out. I'm not sure what the problem is, but occasionally my headset will start cutting in and out and everyone else in the party will be cutting in and sometimes have heavy static. When I unplug my headset,
I can hear them just fine. I tried changing controllers and had the same issue. Then I tried switching from my Turtle Beach X12s to a pair of Tritton AX180s I use for my PC. Same issue. Then I plugged in one of the cheap microsoft headsets and still had
issues. I finally restarted my system and everything worked just fine. That happened about a week ago and then tonight it started doing it again. I restarted my console and everything was good for about an hour before it started doing it again. Anyone
have any suggestions as to what may be happening?

    Stereo Headset adapter...crackling audio

    Hi Skitals!

I was having the same problem... Even in a Race on Forza 5 the audio cuts at randon moments, some time it cuts several times in a row and then back to normal working for a randon period... I get the MS Xbox One Stereo Headset bundle (Adapter + Headset).
I my case, the only issues was the audio cuts and randon controller freezes, my headset don't produce static, noise or anything like that.

    The headset static is back.

IM having this issue and its extremely annoying! I have the official xbox one stereo headset adapter, Turtle Beach XO Four headset adapter and the Turtle Beach XO Seven Headset adapter and they all do the same thing! It will have minor cutting out at 1st
and then when actual game audio starts it gets an annoying loop of static. Sometimes the sound completely cuts out. I have to remove the adapter from the controller and it fixes it for maybe a few minutes, but its back. Anyone got a fix for this? I hate NOT
using a gaming headset to play my games. MICROSOFT PLEASE FIX THIS!

    Mad Squirrel JN,

Are you using a wireless or wired headset?

Try some of these solutions listed below:

    Stereo Headset isn’t working

If your Xbox One Stereo Headset isn’t functioning correctly, check the following:

    • Have you updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter?
    • Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions, such as audio and rumble, are turned off to conserve the remaining power.
    • Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
    • Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox
      Online Service Center
      .
    • Try your Stereo Headset and Stereo Headset Adapter on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try updating
      the first controller
again. If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center .
