  1. Xbox one headset constantly picks up background noise, even in a silent room.

Today I got off the phone with Xbox support and explained my problem, they told me that the problem is 'super weird' and informed me to start a new thread to seek help from the community and also so that they could pass the forum onto their engineers.

I'll explain the problem, when in a party chat, either alone or with friends, my headset is constantly saying that the microphone is making noise even in a completely silent room. This normally wouldn't bother me, but this has a knock on effect of picking up
all background noise, the smallest things, even just turning on my desk chair, my friends have reported being able to hear my chair spinning even though it is as quiet as can be. As I said, I spoke to an engineer and he said that the problem was 'super weird'.
I have already purchased a new controller and a new headset, cleared my MAC Address, and tried 5 different WiFi connections, all with different ISP's.

If anyone has any help, that would be more than appreciated.

    :)

    Xbox 360 Bluetooth headset question.

I just recently purchased this Xbox 360 wireless Bluetooth headset and I was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem....No matter how low I put the volume on my tv and the headset all my friends can still HEAR the background sound on my room. It's
like the headset not only picks up my voice but EVERYTHING else in the room. It even picks up the wind blowing on the ceiling fan. I was just wondering if this is a defective issue with the headset, or maybe I can turn down the mic sensitivity. The regular
headset that came with the system doesn't seem to pick up any background noise at all even if my tv is blaring loudly. I'm so very confused. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

    Xbox On

'Xbox on' only works for me if the room is completely silent. If the TV is on, or there is other background noise such as music or other people chatting then 'Xbox on' fails miserably.

    Mic sensitivity

Agree, I also find it odd that the Xbox headsets generally have a shorter mic than PC headsets even by the same company. I like the mic to reach around a little further to reduce the background noise it picks up.

Mic Sensitivity issue Xbox Wireless Headset? picks up all background noise.

Why is the Xbox Wireless headset microphone so sensitive? I can be several rooms away around multiple corners from the person using the headset and it picks me up like i am sitting right beside them.. Please fix the microphone sensitivity and how much background noise it picks up! I hope this is a bug because
I hope the software still needs to be fixed because I have the same problem.

The mic actually has 2 microphones, the second one is for reducing backgroud noise by subtracting its sound from the first one. But it seems that it adds everything...

    Mic sensitivity

Most of the time this is done by the maker of your microphone. Mics that cancel background noise use 2 mics to accomplish this. One on the outside to pic up background noise one on the inside to pick up voice. More settings would let a single microphone
be able to differentiate the different noises. Even standing mics have built in setting to limit this as in being directional or a 360 sound. So if you want a mic that can do that you need to.pick out a headset that has these capabilities.

Xbox controller constantly keeps my mic on.

Volume isn't the problem. The problem is it's constantly picking up noise from my end, rvrn to the point where it's picking up sound coming from my headset.
