Xbox One Headset Adapter Problems

I am having problems with my PX 5.1 turtle beach headphones. I purchased the adapter from Microsoft received it, read the instructions applied update to both of my controllers, I have sound but my mic does not work, my headphones base unit is hooked up
through the digital optic cable provided with the unit so I have been using them all along to watch TV and movies off of Netflix and I broke the set of headphones that came with the Xbox 1 so that the speaker fit inside of one of my ear cups (very uncomfortable)
but it allowed me to chat and to hear the game with out having to use the Kinect and disturbing the rest of the house, I am wondering what? if anything can I do to make my turtles work. My headphones worked on the 360 via Bluetooth and not a single problem.
Now instead of the wireless function that I originally purchased these for are no longer viable, I have to use the cord that hooks from the headset to the adapter, all in all that would be ok if my mic worked can anyone please help me out with this. On a
personal note: I've been an Xbox fan since its inception and I have been on Xbox live for almost 12 years continuous, I feel Microsoft surely took a step back on this all in one console, It is very much like we are back in the early 90s' and we are back to
using just basic technology. Seriously Microsoft Why not Bluetooth?

 

i have a set of px21's and the adaptor but want to no how i get the game music to go through the headset ?

 

Have you guys tried updating your Xbox One Controllers like they mentioned in this post?

i updated mine and now have the ingame sound coming through a audio ou5t converter which works fine and the mic is working as well my problem now is the mute button works fine on the pad but neither of the side buttons are any ideas ?

 

Well the ps4 is better right now. I don't see what you people are complaining about. Get a better headset. I'm using the pulse elites with the adapter for the xbox one and it sounds perfect. Granted I did pay $200 but stop Buying cheap stuff. Turtle beach
headsets are not the best. Neither are Astros!!' Never even heard of those. Get the Polk headset. It is amazing quality. Like these pulse elites. They are sweet. Best $200 I've spent on headset.

 

I am also having problems similar to you guys for the past 5-6 months now. I got off the phone with MS after waiting over 2 hrs (because of the COD problems everyone is call in about) and got a person named Sasha on the phone. This person blamed everything
on me having a Turtle Beach headset and said "its a 3rd party accessory, so its their fault". Which I told him that is ridiculous that I cannot spend $160 on the X0 Sevens (which are supposed to be for XB1) and they have the same problem as my X32 Turtle
beaches I was having. He was supposed to call me back today (which did NOT happen) because he wanted me to test the brand new headset on a friends console on a different network WTF?

So to my problem. My issue is that I cannot hear anybody in parties or in live games when Im not even in a party. Everyone can hear me fine, but I cannot hear them. When I mess with the + and - on the adapter a little bit, I can barely hear them, but
then I have to turn down game audio so low that I cant even hear that. So its obviously the ADAPTER! I have done all the trouble shooting with these BRAND NEW turtle beaches on my cell phone and they work perfectly fine. So MS is in the business now of
blaming everyone else, and not supporting their products at all!

I suggest all of us make a statement and go out and buy PS4's! Its time to get MS out of the gaming business as they clearly dont care about customer support or their reputation anymore. At least my PS4 works and I can use the headsets on their system.
I guess thats why XB1 is being outsold 6:1 right now by PS4.

This is outright GARBAGE! I have never been so irritated over something that I have spent well over 1k on (console, games, accessories, etc) just to be treated like I dont matter.

This problem has gone on FAR TOO LONG!

MS FIX YOUR STUPID ADAPTERS WITH A SOFTWARE UPDATE!!!!!!
