    Xbox One Headset Adapter Not Working


    All of a sudden my headset adapter has stopped working, the buttons don't work and I can't hear sound through any of the headsets I've been plugging into it. Is there a way I can get it replaced under it's warranty?

    Xbox One Headset Adapter Not Working

    Hey NZ,

    Sorry to hear you are having problems with your adaptor, could you try out these solutions and see if you get any results?

    • See if your controller requires a firmware update check
      Here       on how to do that!
    • Ensure that the controller is either firmly connected to the console or has new batteries.
    • Test the adaptor in another controller from the one you are currently using and see if it works then.
    • Make sure the adaptor is connected firmly into the controller and test the mute light.
    Come back with the results and we will help from there!

    Sorry to hear that, where did you purchase the adaptor? If you have proof of purchase you should still be able to return it for a replacement or a full refund under the circumstances. Just take it into the business you purchased it from and they should
    help you out.

    Hey Tuna!

    I believe you are on about your NAT type? Your NAT type does not stop your headset from working, unless you mean that it is affecting your party chat or game chat experience? On a moderate NAT type, you may hear some people, and some you may not, go

    Here     and test out what it says! Come back with your results and any other problems!

    Since third-party products didn't work. I would highly advice that you get the Xbox One Headset Adapter instead. This will be a one time cost but should definitely work.

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset     with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
    adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

    Headset Adapter - Chat not heard on my end.

    Its the adapter, or whatever they've done to its firmware/software.

    Both Tritton headsets. do the same thing when connected to the Xbox One adapter.

    Even the turtle beach headset I had for my 360 worked with the Xbox One adapter, and it doesn't work properly now either. Same issue. People can hear me. I can't hear them.

    All headsets work with the Tritton adapter. Unfortunately Microsoft won't license anyone to sell an adapter separate from a headset.
