  1. Xbox One Headset Adapter Muted

I've had my headset adapter for some time but it has been having the problem of being constantly muted. I cannot hear anything through a mic or headphones plugged into it, so I have to resort to just plugging them into the controller itself. The mute light
is on all the time no matter what. Any solutions?

    :)

  3. Need help with lagging/hacking sound on my headset

Hello, I got this from the stereo headset support page

Also have you updated your controller and the headset adapter ?

    Xbox One Controller Adapter

You can't with the Stereo Headset Adapter since the chat settings are on the adapter instead of the Xbox. Is the mute icon permanently lit up or are you seeing a mute icon on the Xbox?

Turtle Beach headphone wireless audio from TV

If you're talking about the Xbox One's Stereo Headset Adapter, then yes you can mute the TV. The adapter will allow ytou to play all of game, chat and system audio through the headphones and, like I do, mute the TV.

Xbox One stereo headset microphone needs calibration?

Ok, 1st question. Have you updated your controllers firmware with the headset plugged in?

Another question, have you toggled the mute button to make sure you don't have yourself muted?

Here are the guides for the headset adapter and stereo headsets, to give you some other ideas.

    Muted xbox headset

    Hi Clare,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. Unfortunately, that symbol means the controller is not detecting the headset. It is not a mute icon. Try updating the controller with the headset plugged in. You can also try a

    stereo headset adapter
    .

    Thanks,

    Brad

Hearing players through my tv, but my headset is plugged in.

If the headset is plugged in, you should hear sound through the headset. When you have the headset plugged in, click the mute button on the headset adapter. Does an orange light illuminate on the mute button when you press it? If not, you may not have the
adapter inserted all the way in.
