    Xbox one headset adapter major issue, please help


    So I've had an Xbox one for almost a year now and despite many other problems like my disc drive sometimes working and the controllers disconnecting randomly , a new problem just came up and is the most frustrating thing ever. I use turtle beach earforce
    x11 and they have been working fine with the adapter. Then today I plug my adapter into my controller and joined a party with my friend. In the party I have the little orange circle indicating that my mic is in, and then I start talking. It works for around
    5 seconds and then the little orange circle that indicates that I'm talking stops moving,but I can still here myself through the headset but the audio isn't reaching my own xbox. Then I try everything. I reset my Xbox, switched controllers, went through the
    whole entire settings page (I most have spent an hour on I think it's the device and accessories setting) then I plugged my headphones into my computer and tested if the sound would go through into my computer and it worked fine with my computer so I ruled
    out broken head phones. Meanwhile my friend in the party would randomly here things that he described as a robot beat boxing. So I new it was the adapter that was messed up. I unplugged the adapter and tried to get all the dust out,I even got a can of pressurized
    air to try to get any dust that could be possibly messing with it, and that didn't work either. Because of my turtle beach wire being smaller I had to used the chord that came with the adapter to use the headphones. I started to twist that cord around and
    occasionally my friend could here me. So basically is there anyway to fix this or if not, should I buy a new chord or adapter or both? (if you read this whole thing and responded I'm very grateful)

    First, turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds, this clears cache and may fix this.

    Next, please see this troubleshooting page for tips on how to get your headset to work again:
