  1. Xbox One Headset Adapter - Low, Tinny Sound

I have an Astro Mixamp and Audio Technica AD700 headphones. When using the headset adapter game sound quality is poor. Its sounds low, muffled, tinny. Without the adapter, as well as when I use my modded headset adapter, games sound fine.

I'm not sure if my headset adapter is faulty or if I don't have it set up properly. I thought it would be as easy as plug it in and it works, just like my modded adapter. If this is what the sound is like with the adapter I am very disappointed.

    Appreciate and help and/or feedback.

    :)

Headset sound higher pitched when using stereo adapter

I am using a turtle beach x31 in the following configuration: Wireless transmitter > wireless headset > chat cable (came with x31) > 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable (came with adapter) > adapter in controller.

When its set up like this, the sound in my headset sounds distorted, high pitched and very tinny. When I disconnect the cable from the adapter, the sound sounds 'normal' again. For example, gunshots on CoD now sound far too high pitched and just very strange.
Anyway know why the pitch suddenly increases or how to fix it?

Xbox One Stereo Headset/Adapter not loud enough? Help.

I just bought the official Xbox One stereo headset which comes with the headset adapter. Ive tried the headset, and also tried some beats solo 2 on the adapter which suprisingly work. I just want to enjoy some loud story gaming without waking up my roomates. The problem is, with either headset, the max volume just does not seem to be loud enough. Why wont the headset get louder? the max level is stiill sounding low, does anyone else feel this way about the adapter?

Xbox One Headset Adapter - Low, Tinny Sound

You may need to adjust the volume on the adapter. When you turn on the controller the adapter is putting out both in game sound as well as chat. You may need to max out the chat volume as you are likely using another source for game volume. I'm no expert
of course but I found if I didn't do that everytime I started playing I got an echo.

  5. ^^^

I already maxed out volume by pressing the person icon until I heard the beep. Did the same with the controller icon. Pressing +/- buttons, I didn't notice a change in volume.

XBOX One Chat Adapter & Turtle Beach Issue

My issue with my X12's are when I have the adapter plugged in, The sound is all tinny, Cannot adjust volume with "game" volume nub on the headsets volume control. To adjust game sound and chat, I have to adjust the "chat" volume nub which effects the chat
and game volume. The balance buttons don't seem to work for me either.

If I don't have the adapter in use... The sound is fantastic. I feel like I have just wasted £20 on this. At this rate I rather just use my headsets and chat with the Kinect.

    XBA Bluetooth Adapter

I purchased the MW3 blue tooth headset. Wished I would have stuck to my Halo Reach wireless one. The new one is uncomfortable, overly loud and sounds tinny. The good news is it doesn't constantly disconnect from my Xbox.

Should a Headset be in w/ every Xbox One ?

Not necessary as it will come with a Kinect sensor. However you're voice will probably sound loud or tinny (aka Xbox Reveal that man in the skype call sounded clearly tinny). Xbox One will have a mic as one of the extra accessories you can get. You did get
one for the Xbox 360, only because Kinect is not mandatory for the 360.
