Xbox One Headset adapter doesn't work correctly without the Kinect.

apparently (this was confirmed in two separate chat sessions with Xbox Support reps) if you do not have a Kinect 2.0 sensor plugged into your Xbox One console, you cannot change any of the option settings for any of those features. Normally, this wouldn't
be an issue, except that the amateur design of the console means that the Kinect is apparently the default Mic input at all times. What this does is when I plug in my Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, I have no dynamic control over the chat or game's audio.
If I increase the game audio, both game and chat audio increase, and vice versa and since I bought a console without a Kinect sensor, I have no ability to change this on my end.

I have been told by support reps that "That feature does not exist on the Xbox One yet, and you will have to wait for it to be implemented in a future update."

Which, in reality, will most likely take months (not to mention flat out admitting they've released an incomplete console, having to finish it up with major updates and patches to bring it up to the BASIC functionality that the previous Xbox 360 had in it's
infancy)

This isn't really acceptable and they wouldn't even provide any form of compensation since their product doesn't do what it's advertised/intended to do, and actually threatened me with banning my account stating that asking for any form of compensation was
a "phishing scam".

This issue needs to be addressed and I can't be the only person having the problem.

Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

I bought a stereo headset adapter and use it in conjunction with my studio beats. Everything was working fine one day, next day it doesn't work at all. No sound no matter what I do. I know the headset work as I've tried it with my laptop.

I have tried:

Connecting different headsets.

Resetting Xbox, disconnecting and reconnecting adapter and headset.

Updating controller via usb, with and without battery pack in. With and without headset adapter connected. With 2 different headsets connected.

Nothing seems to be working.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

setting up Razer chimaera 5.1 headset on Xbox One

Hi!

I have stereo headset from Razer company, model chimaera 5.1. This is wireless headset for Xbox360.

After bying Xbox One, and bying microsoft headset adapter (official) for xbox one, this headset start working with chat. But buttons on headset adapter not work correctly. Not matter what i'm doing, changing volume of chat or game, in my headset changes
all volume. If dont use this buttons, game sounds are so loud that i cant hear chat(((

And buttons on headset dont work correctly (there are butons on headset for
regulation chat and game volumes). There is the same thing. Like sound getting in with one stream.

Is there any opportunity to make the headphones work properly with Xbox One?
