    Hello there

    I wanted to buy the xbox one Headset Adapter. But i'm nut sure at all if this will works with my Sharkoon xtatic s7headset. At the insert plug of the mic-cable, there is this stupid plastic-thing which fits perfect to the xbox360 controller (picture). Looks
    a bit like the new adapter but it's fixed on the mic-cable. So i have some serious doubts that the adapter will not work. Can anybody help me please?

    Best headset under $150?

    The TB DX12 is what I'm currently using and it's an OKAY headset. I don't feel ripped-off or anything but the sound quality isn't nearly as good as my old Tritton AX 720 headset. Sadly they've done away with the old Tritton AX 720 headset and updated it
    for 2012 and the quality has gotten worse. For under $150 you're limited in options but the TB DX12 is a decent choice. I've also heard good things about the Sharkoon Xtatic 5.1 headset.

    •You can only connect an Xbox 360 Chat Headset using the stereo headset adapter with a 2.5-mm to 3.5-mm converter, which comes with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. The Xbox One Stereo Headset does not include this adapter cable.

    It looks like the Sharkoon Xtatic S7 is not compatible with the Xbox One Headset Adapter. I was able to find a list of supported consoles on sharkoon.com and it appears that only the Xbox 360 is

    Non-compatible headsets

    The following headsets are incompatible with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter:

    • Mad Catz Tritton Warhead headset
    • Mad Catz Tritton Primer headset (Mad Catz offers an adapter for the Primer headset to convert the 2.5-mm audio jack to a 3.5-mm audio jack. Contact Mad Catz for support.)
    • The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Bluetooth Headset
    • Headsets with this 2.5-mm connector will not work because of the connector format. This connector includes a long, cylindrical pin in the middle of the connecting side that does not fit into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.
