Xbox One Headset Adapter and Turtle Beach Earforce DX11

I have the headset adapter but can't get my Turtle Beach Earforce DX11 mic to work. The game and chat audio through the headset works fine. The headset works fine with the 360 so I'm not sure if I need an extra adapter of some kind. I have it connected to
the xbox one via digital audio out on the xbox one (page 11 in the manual linked below) and connected to the control through the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cord and the headset adapter (like in page 7). Mic doesn't work. Any ideas?

Turtle Beach Ear Force Adapter VS Microsoft Adapter

For all my Xbox ONE Gamers, question on Legacy Headsets mainly pertaining to Turtle Beach owners. Is there an added benefit going with the Turtle beach Adapter

    http://www.turtlebeach.com/…/ear-force-headset-audio-co…/644
    versus the Microsoft Adapter

    http://www.xbox.com/…/acce…/headsets/stereo-headset-adapter…
. Thoughts, feedback? I have and older Earforce x41 Turtle Beach Headset and want to know if I can save a few bucks instead of paying additional for Turtle Beach, shipping, and waiting.

    Headset Compatibility

I have the Turtle Beach Earforce Z300 wireless gaming headset. I am wondering if I were to buy the Xbox one Headset Adapter, would my headset be compatible and would I be able to use them to chat.

I worked with xbox support and we were able to resolve this. I had the USB power for the Earforce DSS (simulated surround sound) plugged into the 360. I changed it to be plugged into a USB port on the Xbox One and the mic now works. I assumed it just needed
power but perhaps having it plugged into the same Xbox One mattered. Something to try if you have the same issue.

I am having some issues with my Xbox One and Turtle Beach DX11 setup as well. I spent 1 hour on the phone with support trying to troubleshoot the problem, and they seem to believe it is the controller. I cannot chat at all. I tried both the OEM headset as
well as my turtle beach headset in party chat, and neither work. I can talk in party chat through the Kinect without an issue though. I made an attempt to chat in game, and there was no success. Since Microsoft believed it was a controller, I went and purchased
a new Titanfall controller today and I'm still having the same issues. I followed your suggestions above with no success.

Anyone who can help me with this issue, including Microsoft support, I would really really appreciate it. It was hard enough trying to locate a stereo adapter to buy let alone going through the hassle of trying to troubleshoot why I cannot still chat.

Last week my mic quit working again (no changes to my setup) but was able to eventually get it working again after closing the game & rebooting my xbox one. This seems buggy and I'm not sure what makes it quit working sometimes.

  7. I have some similiar problem... My old headset stopped working a few days ago... I still can hear people but they can't hear me. So i bought a new headset a Turtle Beach Four OX which came with the adapter. I've tried it but still didn't work so i bought
a new controller. None of my controllers or headsets are broken and still people can't hear me. Anyone any idea? I've updated my controller about 10 times already. restarted my xbox to the factory setting and rebooted my xbox, and the worst is that Microsoft
doesn't give a single ***... Opened a chat multiple times and they just close it...

My apologies for my bad English as i am from The Netherlands...

Thanks for any tips you can give me.

Hello all. If you guys are still having this problem then read this. Most likely its your xbox headset adapter. My adapter did the same thing i cant talk but i can get audio from it just fine. i found plugging in your mic in and out real fast, you can chat
with people... when you plug it in completely it stops working... so thats one way to chat if you really want to pug it in and out a million times. Here are some options for replacing the adapter. Option one: You will need to return the adapter (in box and
everything else) to the place of purchase, they should swap it out for you. Option 2: If not option one, send it into Microsoft but it will take 4 weeks for repairs... Option 3: buy a new one... so if you found this helpful please give this a thumbs up and
    add me on xbox one:
