headphones yes but microphones headphones are a big iffy subject

Hello, having an echo is often due to misuse. The microphone is very sensitive and I noticed that on several headphones the fact that the microphone thread touching the limits of the headphones it caused an echo.

Thanks, I've tried all that and everything is clear there. It turns out the problem may be that the service provider has the setting on strict and that is not letting this work. Something about reconfiguring the router. I don't know but I've had about all
this technology I can handle for today. I'm a carpenter and not so much of a tech guy so, there's that.

I'll tackle this tomorrow when I get a few free minutes.

Finally got a live support tech that walked me through testing the controller and console and that's where I got the answer that the isp setting was too high for the headset. Also found out that the headset which is boxed as an xbox one unit is not an xbox
product at all. It's the astro A10 and the box is covered with xbox logos and all that but may not be compatable with the console and or controller. Who knew

Thanks for the update with the headset. A strict NAT can affect lot of multiplayer features. We recommend to look over the

NAT error solution for possible fixes. IF you find none of them have worked for you, you may want to think of

port forwarding the router to open the ports Xbox uses. Your ISP(internet service provider) will be able to assist you in port forwarding also.
