Xbox One HDMI passthrough problem...

I'm having some problems establishing a stable connection using the passthrough on the Xbox One.

Now I'm not using it for Live TV or anything like that. I am in fact using an MHL Adapter to connect my phone (Sony Xperia SP) to the Xbox One so I that I can capture game footage from it.

I believe the phone does contain some HDCP encryption, as while I can use the phone on my TV without a problem, I cannot use it with the Roxio game Cap HD Pro. However, when using it with the Xbox One, things start off promising...

I get a picture, which is more than what I get from the Roxio. But I do NOT get any audio, and I get constant "dropouts" of the connection between the phone the Xbox One. It'll connect, disconnect, reconnect, disconnect over and over again. I tried a different
HDMI cable but the problem remained. Because it works fine on the TV, where HDCP doesn't seem to be a problem, I don't think it's a fault MHL Adapter, the HDMI cable or the phone.

What IS the HDCP situation with the Xbox One passthrough? Seeing as you can hook up a cable/satellite box to it and possibly capture footage, I don't see HDCP being an issue.

I realize that this may be an odd problem to ask for help with... connecting a PHONE to my Xbox One... but I would like to try and capture some Android gaming.

if anyone may have a clue as to why I cannot get a stable connection, please let me know. I'm not expecting miracles or anything, though.

Sorry, but the Xbox One must be turned on to enable HDMI passthrough.

You can connect your 360 to the Xbox One using the HDMI passthrough not USB.
