Xbox One HDMI Pass Through Lag and Failure

I am losing HDMI signal from my Motorola Cable Box and when I pass through my Xbox 360 the pass through causes significant lag between the 2 consoles so it appears that the pass through is not pushing a full frame rate causing issues both the TV losing signal
and using the xbox 360 experiencing lag issues. most of my friends are on 360 still so I use both consoles still.

this is my 2nd console I have received from Microsoft to resolve the HDMI pass through issue and it is also failing.

Did you test the pass through with the xbox 360 console?

    :)

Xbox One Hooked To Xbox 360 Question

While you can connect the 360 through the Xbox One I would highly recommend against it. Connecting it via the Xbox One results in a significant amount of lag. Also bear in mind that you will still have to control it via the 360 controller etc. So it's not so much that you're playing 360 games on Xbox One, you're still actually just playing your 360 console. The Xbox One simply acts as a HDMI pass-through.

  3. PC didn't work with Xbox One HDMI Pass-Through

After experimenting with my Xbox One, I found that my PC doesn't work with the HDMI pass-through. All I get is the background screen. No desktop icons, no windows button, no windows open even if opened prior to plugging in. Has anyone else had this problem?
Has anyone had their PC work with the Xbox One HDMI pass-through? Any suggestions on what to do to make it work? I'm open to anything. It is my hope that I can have my Steam library on my Xbox One.

I should mention, my Xbox 360 worked with the HDMI pass-through. Quite well actually, if you ignore the significant input lag.

    Thank you.

Xbox One HDMI Pass Through Lag and Failure

I am having the same problem. I've replaced all the hdmi cables and I'm on my second xbox one, but periodically continue to get lines through the display. I've removed the xbox from the equation and the problem goes away, proving my TV and fios cable box
    isn't the issue.

    Anyone have any thoughts???

HDMI Splitter with cable box and surround sound receiver

    From Support:

Basic setup with an audio/video receiver

With an audio/video (A/V) receiver, the best and most direct option is to connect the devices sequentially:

1.Connect your set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.

2.Connect the Xbox One HDMI output to your A/V HDMI input.

3.Connect your A/V HDMI output to the HDMI input on your television.

    Notes

•This option requires that all devices support audio over HDMI.

•Surround sound from your set-top box will not be passed through the Xbox One.

•When you perform this kind of basic setup with an A/V receiver, you’re passing both audio and video through another device. Depending on your equipment, there is a small risk of audio or video lag.

    Losing TV/cable signal need help

Same problem on. Fios. It works Greta for a day or two and the. Says it will lose the signal. This is NOT acceptable! It isn't the hdmi cable. At this point I am thinking of just hooking up the xbox like the old one. The tv pass through seems to be a huge
failure. It's a shame it had such promise. We can keep have to unplug the xbox. It is in a rack and not easy to get to. Sorry msft the tv pass through is beta at best.

Are we going to be able to play 360 games through the cloud?

Even if Xbox Live releases something similar to Gaikai, it's probably easiest just to hold on to your old Xbox 360 & games for it and play them through the HDMI pass-through that is provided on the xbox One. This way, you're not spending more money on games
that you already own or having to deal with lag issues through streaming.

    HDMI Pass Through

People have the misconception of HDMI pass through. All this means is that the HDMI signal from your cable box is "passed through" the Xbox one. If your Xbox isn't on, it won't be able to pass the signal through.
