    Xbox one hdmi pass through crash


    Hey everyone, I just got a brand new xbox one and first thing after updates and setup I tried to connect my laptop via hdmi pass through. However I connect the hdmi cord but whenever I click tv the xbox one freezes then restarts. Every time. I have never
    gotten picture or audio and it is very frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated. Also pc specs are 16gb ram, nvidia gtx 765m, Intel i7 4770. Thanks!

    Hook up a Xbox 360 to the HDMI pass through on your Xbox ONE. BAM, backwards compatibility.

    On your xbox one.

    So to answer your question no it isnt possible to use the hdmi pass through to watch live tv without your xbox one power on

    HDMI Pass Through

    People have the misconception of HDMI pass through. All this means is that the HDMI signal from your cable box is "passed through" the Xbox one. If your Xbox isn't on, it won't be able to pass the signal through.

    Yes, Xbox one does not do a passive pass-through. It must be on to pass through the HDMI signals.
