    xbox one hdmi not working


    so i've had my xbox one for about 6 months and it has just recently started to have problems with the hdmi. When i start up my xbox to play, it takes a while for the display to load, and when it does, all black coloring on the screen has red bits all over
    it. I dont know if this is because of my tv or the hdmi cable, and I use the one that came with the xbox. I can't use HDMI 1 at all because it just doesnt load at all. I've tried unplugging it and all the normal fixes, but I dont know what else to try

    Hi. My xbox one output tv hdmi is not working, so my tv is black screen when I connect it by hdmi from xbox to tv. Im thinking of buying usb to hdmi adaoter for it. I will put the usb in xbox one and hdmi in tv. Will it work? Will the xbox one support this?

    Sorry you're having issues with your Xbox displaying correctly. I would first try a different cable like you mentioned up top. As you said a different port on your TV does not work, do you have another TV to test with? If the Xbox works with the same HDMI
    cable on another TV then you know it's likely your TV HDMI ports, If the Xbox work with a different TV and a different cable, then you know it could just be a bad cable. If you test the Xbox on another TV and it doesn't work at all or displays the red bits
    then it could be a faulty Xbox, and I would recommend doing a repair below.

    If it outputs an HDMI signal, you can plug it in to the HDMI input on the Xbox One and it will work.

    How the Xbox One works with being able to control the TV is that the Xbox One has a HDMI In port and a HDMI Out port. If a person had a cable set-top box, they would take the HDMI cable from that and plug it into the HDMI In port on the Xbox One, and then
    connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Out port and connect that to the TV.



    In your case, I think it could only work if your TV had both a HDMI Out port and a HDMI In port. If this is the case, which I don't ever think I've heard of a thing for just a TV (I guess it could be possible), then you would go from the TV's HDMI Out port
    to the Xbox One's HDMI In port and from the Xbox One's HDMI Out port to the TV's HDMI In port.

    Is it like this:-

    XBOX ONE --------hdmi cable--------> TV

    this works fine, but

    XBOX ONE-------hdmi cable---------> Yamaha amp -------hdmi cable-------> TV

    doesn't work?
