    Xbox One HDMI Issue


    Hi,

    I am wanting to sell my Xbox one, it has an issue with the HDMI port so I can’t see the screen to reset the console. Is there any other way I can do this, as the console will still be logged into my account and don’t want to sell it on like this?

    Appreciate any help with this.

    Removing the Xbox One eliminates the issue, and swapping HDMI cables into and out of the Xbox One does nothing. Signal loss is basically permanent now.

    HDMI cable from Xbox One to receiver is the one provided with Xbox One, all other HDMI are insignia highspeed HDMI.

    Try connecting the Xbox One HDMI Cable to HDMI 1 and see if that fixes the issue!

    Hi DanTDM0956, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    If it has an HDMI port issue it will be hard for us to reset it as we will not be able to get into the settings. As a workaround, you can try to stream your Xbox to your PC/Laptop but this will only work if it's enabled on your settings as well as if you're auto signed in.     If that will not be possible for you to do, you can simply change your password for your account to be signed out on each and every device it is currently signed in. You can also enable two-step verification for extra security. Here you go https://account.microsoft.com/security.

    Change the HDMI cable with a 2.0 or better. Make sure the cable is plugged in all the way on the Xbox One. Run STB (cable/sat box) HDMI Xbox One HDMI TV. Repair/exchange likely won't fix the issue, as the cause is not a "failure" with the Xbox One (at least
    it does not sound that way). Try the 'good' HDMI cables, and post back what happens!

    The Xbox One and the Xbox 360 have very HDMI standards. The Xbox One uses HDMI 2.0 whereas the Xbox 360 uses HDMI 1.3 (I believe). As such your TV can read the two very differently.
