xbox one HDMI but No Component plugs.

so i been pretty excited to get my Xbox one its been long since i have had a Xbox due to financial Problems .

3 Days before they going to deliver my Xbox and now i hear that it wont work on my Sansui SV 3050 LCD TV. i mean really is this a Joke.

its got Component plug in just no HDMI.

i am getting mine trough my bank so buying a new TV is just not possible and also i just had my tv fixed not to long again.

its pretty much you guys are saying dont have a HDtv that costs a house full of money sorry for you????? this is not on please can Xbox get back to be with a acceptible reason as to why this can also be played on tv that has Component plugs?

No Component But HDMI

Alright, so to determine if it is your TV, or your console, I would suggest either trying your console on a different TV, or using a different console on your current TV. Let us know what you find!

The cable works with a friends slim so its not the cable, and ive tried resetting. the tv doesnt register a video source.

Hi seem that there are HDMI to Component converterss/adaptors available

If you og to Amazon or other vendor who sells Electronics and accessoairs and type in HDMI to Component... and there will be several to choose from..

I realise that you are on a budget due to your situation, and even though I havent had the need for converting HDMI to Component, my experience with HDMI switches tells me that it might be vise to stear Clear of the very cheapest alternatives for the sake
of image quality

(Allso some spelling errors I didn't have time to sort out in my original post, but I hope its understandable

The Xbox One console does not have any sort of component switch or plug like the Xbox 360 E does. Xbox One is listed as HDMI In/Out only.

Obsessive Power

As the early Xbox 360's had no HDMI you'll need either a TV with a component input or an adaptor to convert HD component to HDMI.

Firstly if you want HD you'll need an Xbox 360 HD Component cable. They look like the image below.

Next you'll need a Component to HDMI Adaptor. Similar to
this one. Note that the cable must be Component to HDMI. These cables only work one way.

You plug the Xbox 360 component cable into the console and then plug the Component cables (Red, Green, Blue) and the two audio leads into the adaptor. Then connect an HDMI cable to the adaptor and the TV. The yellow cable is only for standard definition
and will not be required.

Just remember to change the video output on the console to 1080P and you're done.

I've tried putting the TV into game mode. I've tried plugging in the component cable to see the display, then changing the display settings on the xbox to HD, then plugging in the HDMI cable. I guess it's an HDMI handshake issue? Or a fault in the HDMI port
on the xbox?
