Xbox One HDMI blew out?

Ok apparently my HDMI output on the Xbox like stop working (video wise) I test out the cable to other devices and it works but from the Xbox One? No, it play sounds but I see no video, I was wondering if the video connection or whatever from the xbox just
stopped working? Anyone help or I have to send it for a repair?

Probably blew the supply out. You'll have to buy a new one or ask Xbox Support to send you one.

 

xbox one with component cables?

Had to get a converter for my Xbox One when my HDMI connections blew out on my old rear projection 55" tv during a lightning storm. Found an inexpensive hdmi to component converter at my local Radio Shack for $33! HDMI to Component Converter Adapter

Video worked as well as audio. The games displayed well without any sign of degradation. The converter down scaled the Xbox One output to a 720p image. This isn't a big deal on my old tv. For a small price...this will do the job very well until I can get a newer tv. I tried an Amazon Fire stick which worked just as well.

 

There seems to be an issue since the update this has happened to me a few times, usually after pressing the xbox button on my controller. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds to restart the console and this should work.

 

When was the update for it? Are you talking about the recent update like last week? And I tried and it worked, wow!! Thanks, I thought it was the connection.. So I hope they fix it!

 

Yea it was last weeks update, I panicked when it happened to me lol. It may happen again so you'll just have to do the same thing again for now. I'm sure they'll fix it in march's update.
