Xbox One having boot-up and lock-up issues

Hi,

My Xbox One has recently been experiencing more and more boot-up issues (stuck on green loading screen). I have done all the "easy" fixes cycle power, hard reset, factory reset. These fixes will get my console up and running until the next time we try and
turn it on.

If we get through the boot-up process which takes at least 5mins the Xbox has issues when running games or apps.

The console will lock-up and not be responsive to any input other than a hard reset. This then starts us on the boot-up cycle once again.

It's just become frustrating and I am looking to see if I need to get this unit repaired.

Same issue here, Locks up my xbox one and have to hard boot.... I have also noticed when in settings and try one guide same issue happens

Try this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Try with some compressed air on sides and back. Is the console on the good, ventilated place?

If the issue continues I'm afraid it is a hardware failure. So, then repair it.

Hi there

Can i suggest that you start by going ahead and unplugging the console.

Leave it unplugged for a few minutes and then try to have it plugged into a different plug to what you were using before, you can try a different room.

Try turn the console on and see if it helps.

If your console is still under warranty you may request a repair

I had the same issue. I tried re-booting my xbox one by holding the main button on the right side of the console for 5-10 seconds until it completely shut off. Waited another 10 seconds then pushed the button once, heard the tone, then started it up again
with my controller. Saw the main, green xbox screen, then signed in...no problems.

I have been having issues with Netflix locking on app and locking up the xbox, since they updated their format. Perhaps it's a cache issue...resetting the system seems to work.
