stevie, here are some answers for you:

    1. MS went with DDR3 instead of GDDR5 for a few reasons; DDR3 is better for multitasking, it is cheaper, and this was closer to the architecture of the 360, so the engineers felt this would be an easier system for devs to figure out. This last point seems
to be incorrect, as several devs have come out and said this was a complicated system to develop for.

    2. Yes, the Xbox One can and does reach 1080p. Destiny, Diablo 3 (both multiplats), Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, and Halo: MCC all reach 1080p. While the RAM might be a limiting factor compared to the PS4, RAM is not the only thing that affects resolution,
or console power in general. And the fact remains, the Xbox One is a very powerful videogame console. It is second only to the PS4, and several developers have stated that the 2 are closer in power than any other generation before.

  2. I don't in know for the love of god why people are comparing the XBOne to the 360 ? That's like people comparing a I Phone to a I Phone 6. Is this what these forums are coming to now, unreal ?.

For those who have purchased the One, well you just going to have ride that coaster and see where it takes you. It's the price you pay for early adoption in life.

WildChameleon, it's more like comparing the IPhone 5 to the IPhone 6, which is what everyone compares the IPhone 6 to ("bigger screen" - not compared to a Galaxy S5).

The 360 is a good standard to compare the One to when discussing the improvements made, or the reasoning for design decisions. Which was what was asked in this thread. If you are trying to decide which current gen system you want to purchase, you should
compare the One to the PS4 and WiiU. But that is not what this thread is about.

Btw....comparisons are not allowed. I am guessing because people, such as yourself, cannot conduct themselves in a polite, courteous, and thoughtful manner."

This is getting stupid now, the forum is full of little boys who think they are god. I don't care what you think and i will stay away from these forums until these lower classed little boys are given there own forum for cry babies. im out

Diesel made a comment a ways up (quoting fail on me) that the XB1 uses GDDR3. Also the comparison I was making is not to be taken literally but more for just giving an idea of the small to no difference for the near future between the two graphically.

    edit: @SirAngry (quote fail again)

Can cloud computing make the graphics as good as GDDR5?

    [/quote]

The graphics situation shouldn't be too bad. The graphics on 3rd party games will be the exact same on both consoles, so don't worry too much about that.

"At the end of the day both the Ps4 and Xbox One can hit 1080p/60fps, but a game being 1080p doesn't mean its "better" than a game running at 900p or even 720p.

Look at Ryse, its a great game and recently got an award for best graphics (think it was best graphics, someone will either confirm or correct this) and it was "only" 900p.

At the end of the day games shouldn't be liked or disliked purely on its resolution, yes resolution is important, but its only a small part of a game. Plus when in the middle of a fire fight or power sliding round a corner, nobody will be able to say for
definite if a game is 900p or 1080p. Only when the game is paused and studied will they be able to ascertain a games resolution."

At last someone with a brain.
