Xbox One hardware is "just fine",

There is little point talking hardware it just desends into arguments and gets locked, nobody seems to understand streaming in hardware having 50% more bandwidth between memory and CPU, 50% more ops/cycle higher clock speed, esram, dual render pipes instead
of one, 2 compute command processors instead of one, 2 graphics command processors instead of one. 15 programmable processors in addition to CU, move engines, lots of various encode and decode processors, shape audio off loading and cloud.

But they ignore all that gg and will come back with some last gen game engine resolution that uses none of this.

Check out cry engine (ryse) for a newer gen engine and what's just scraping the barrel.

@Silky ps3 did beat 360 with results a year ago, what's to say ms did not come back? After all Sony have not released any numbers since then yet ms have said they stand at 83.5 million 360's sold. All we know is ps3 is 80 million +. so fact is we do not
    know.

  5. They sold 5 million to retail not consumers hence "sold in" in other words to retail, Sony sold 7 million to consumers hence "sold through".

So do you make money for each console sold by Microsoft or some other brand ?

    So stop to be worried.

    So ?

All companies use sold to retail not consumer, nobody uses consumer sales as you don't know what was sent back, exchanged or returned. That's why they use the more accurate retail sales.

I am not trying to BS you I work as a digital designer in marketing and marketing always use those figures. It's also really really hard to get consumer sales figures, as most retailers keep consumer sales secret.

I think this gen has sold fast, record breakingly fast, because of the incredible speed of manufacturing.

In terms of sales, xbox one has sold faster than the 360 did but that is because the 360 was still establishing Microsofts place in the console market, and with the xbox one, it is fully established. Plus the manufacturing as I mentioned.

But in real terms the xbox one is (currently) not selling that well. The original xbox went up against the PS2, best selling console ever, plus the gamecube and dreamcast. It was all about getting a foothold in the market. It took 11% of 6th gen sales. The
360 consolidated Microsofts place, taking 30.7% of the 7th gen. Xbox one has just 24.9% of the 8th gen which must be a disappointment for Microsoft who would have hoped and forecast for much more.

  9. During the PS3 years it was always sold to retail & 360 was sold to consumers, now that Sony has something worth buying & is selling well, they changed it up.

I rather see the amount of Active users on each console. Not who buys it for one game, or never goes online. I'd like to see the amount of users who turn it on everyday and use it like the way Sony & MS wanted everyone to do dating back to the PS2 & OX.

there are a lot of PS4 sales that are impulse buys, great alternative to PC gaming.

  10. Would be interesting, although the fact ms is slowing x1 production due to stock build up is telling enough.

I said it before and il say it again ms needs a string of exceptional exclusives.

@fooxman what's not to understand? They sold 5 million consoles to retail in the areas where support for the console is highest and retail couldn't move them all.

Hmm just had a look at this thread for the first time since last night, did it turn into a flame war or something? As my post has disappeared or is it just the usual censorship.

    RPG needed

I bought a 5 port powered HDMI switcher, 360, XB1, WiiU, PS3 and PS4 all ready to go. Even played some MW2 on the 360, I'm going to sound old but let face it, waaaaaaaaaaaaay better then ghosts on any platform. It's too early to ditch the 360 imo, make the
    most of it.
