@ N7 well you must of hammered your Sony Blue Ray player either that or you just saying that to make the Phillips Blu Ray in the one amazing. Quick history lesson Phillips have been around a eternity at one point there seemed to be only Phillips around
that's how far they go back. Now every electronics company builds better tech Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, LG list goes on.

Regarding the China Child labor do you have evidence to support your claim ?

You do know that practically every electrical device is resembled in China including I Phones. There's a good chance if kids assembled PS4 then they also resembled your XBOne too.

    Busy kids hey......

So many years of fun are no more.

While I see how the 360's numbers could be higher over a three year period compared to a one year period, these numbers seem to coincide with other reports/surveys who's focus is on failure rather than repair or replacement. Here's one (which also show the
PS3 & Wii at higher failure rates)...

    Technobezz

In case there's a problem with the link, here's an excerpt from the article...

...But just how big was the hardware failure problem in the first place?
    Game Informer
conducted a survey of around 5,000 of its readers to find out just how bad the problem was. According to

    Consumerist
it found that the overall hardware failure rate for the Xbox 360 is 54.2 percent. The PS3 does around five times better with a hardware failure rate of 10.6 percent, while the Wii performs even better with a failure rate of just 6.8 percent.

The accepted (as in expected by the manufacturer) hardware failure figure for all electronic equipment is around 3 percent, so in truth none of the consoles is doing particularly well. However, while one in 15 Wii owners and one in 10 PS3 owners have experienced
hardware failure at some point, more than half (one in two) Xbox 360 owners have. Which is quite simply not good enough.

The survey also found that 41.2 percent of Xbox 360 owners have suffered a second failure after having a console repaired, while 69.9 percent of Xbox 360 owners have friends who have suffered hardware failures. The good news for Microsoft, however, is that
only 3.8 percent of respondents claimed the experience had put them off buying another Xbox system again.

Which means Microsoft has essentially got away with delivering a faulty games console. That or there are millions of games fans in the world who would prefer to play Russian roulette with their choice of console than ever own a PS3 or Wii.

  4. xbox one hardware failure rate ?

Article in question mentions students most likely 17 and 18 and story dates back to October 2013 last year. Doesn't mean Sony are still using Foxconn. Foxconn most likely build a lot of devices.

  5. @ wild, pretty much everything you say is wrong

1st off, RE foxconn, they force college students to work there for free if they want to graduate.

    www.slashgear.com/playstation-4-foxconn-sabotage-rumors-continue-swirling-18305844

and the PS4 blu ray has had issues,

    www.community.us.playstation.com/.../5

Also Phillips helped build BD technology along with sony

    www.tech-faq.com/blu-ray.html

"Blu-ray is an optical storage format developed by Sony and Phillips. It was created to store large amounts of high definition video and sound"

Its sad you try to pass Phillips off as some sort of cheap tech company. And you realize that most of the consoles parts on both sides, aren't made in house. You know sony vaio BD drives were made by toshiba right? Who knows what drive is in the PS4? and
more honestly, who really cares. Go buy a pS4, go to the PS forums and enjoy yourself, wouldn't you rather be positive, then go online to constantly trash something? Literally for a year + all you do is come here and trash everything MS does, how are you not
bored of trolling yet? do you literally have nothing else to do in your life?

Lets not argue, or start comparison's. (Not even joking with this) Can't we all just get along? Seriously. Everyone's experience is different. Unfortunately some users Xbox's malfunction. So may their phones, PC's, or Laptop's or cars. Others may
run smoothly longer. Things break sometimes.

  7. The Xbox One hardware failure rate is practically negligible. It only seems to be worse than it actually is because, being an official site for the product, people who have issues have a tendency to congregate here. It's like taking the smallest slice of
the proverbial "percentage pie" and looking at it from a few inches away rather than from a few feet away, giving it the illusion that it's much bigger than it really is.

For those of you who have suffered from various hardware issues, I sympathize with you, but you have numerous options available to you on how you can resolve the problem, that varies depending on where you're from. xbox one hardware failure rate ? ;)

  12. Uh my Xbox One is a day one edition and it is still working. I never used the disc drive yet but I heard there have been tons of issues with faulty disc drive (I hope I won't experience that *crosses fingers*). I know for one thing the failure rate is much
lower than the Xbox 360 Pro/Arcade/Elite/Slim

lol no wild. I'm far from an xbox drone. but the fact you resort to that, shows exactly how bad of a troll you are. Your welcome to have opinions, but all you do is harp on made up issues. It can't be healthy being that negative all the time xbox one hardware failure rate ? :)

  15. @Slayin all I said was Phillips is not known for quality in the electronics market which is true. Now the likes of Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, LG all make better quality electronic stuff then Phillips.

I just said I wouldn't be happy with a Phillips Blue Ray as they tend to make cheaper stuff. I'm entitled to my opinions if you don't like em don't read em don't reply SIMPLES!
