Xbox one hard shut off time, not a timer

Can I set my Xbox one to shut off automatically every night at 8:00 pm regardless of how much time has been played?

I know there is a timer function but this is not what I’m looking for. I want to keep my child from playing past certain hours.

Powering and contoller issues

Alright to start off my contoller will not turn on my xbox one after the first time that I hard reset it or switch power options. After I turn the xbox on by saying "xbox on" and shut it down by holding the xbox button on the controller and selecting turn
console off, the controller will then not shut off. I have changed the batteries, switched to rechargeable batteries, done a hard reset, and switched power options

my Xbox shuts off all the time, stays on for about 3 seconds and then shuts off, power cord is on but doesn't stay on, always I have to press the button pretty hard to get a response from the xbox

 

How about a time switch on the power outlet?

I would not recommend a power outlet switch, as it forces a shutdown of the console, which may be dangerous. For example, the power may be shut off while a game is saving, which can corrupt the file and make it unplayable, meaning that you have to start
the game from scratch, and losing progress is one if not the worst feeling a gamer can experience.
