XBOX ONE hard drive keeps clicking/grinding slowing down load time for games and apps

My x-box one hard drive keeps clicking/grinding slowing down load time for games and apps. It dose it at random times. I know it's the hard drive cause the noise is located in the back right of the console. It's not the disc or fan, i'm pretty good with
this kind of stuff and i'm worried i have a faulty hard drive in my console. Can someone help me out? is there a fix were i don't have to send my console to xbox? The console has been fine for the first couple of months since i got it but then a month ago
this issue has started. I have not moved my console at all. it's in a well ventilated area. I will give a example... Lets say i'm playing call of duty ghosts multiplayer and its loading a new game in a lobby i have been in. and the hard drive is clicking/grinding
while its trying to load the next map match, by the time my game loads the countdown in ghosts is already finished and everybody's playing already. I really hope someone can help me out with a possible fix thanks.

The way I fixed it is by going to settings-Storage-highlight your hard drive and press LB then RB then x. Do this twice and it will come up with a menu that says would you like to delete the current xbox live update. (Don't worry this wont affect any stored
data I promise) Click yes. Restart your console then click yes to update let it run its course and the problem should be resolved.

Hello,

If you've already cleared the hard drive's cache, then you can try to format it completely (that would make you lose all content on it) but before doing that it's highly recommended you at least take your save files off of it. Everything else can be re-downloaded.
If the format also makes it run slow still, then unfortunately, you would need a new hard drive .

If your console is under warranty and the hard drive came inside the console already you can get it
replaced, if not, you can order a new one as well.

 

seems some had the issue here i would send it in for repair anything you do to it can void the warrenty

once again it's the hard drive not the disc drive

 

You're going to be dissapointed.. my disc drive failed after 90 days. Three weeks in repairs now the console won't sync with the controllers.. Try and get your money back and buy a Sony.

G'day SFGAMER! If you're hearing excessive noise from your hard drive and it seems to have trouble loading things, then it may be best to send your console in for a repair.

One thing to try first if you haven't:
Power cycle the console. This will let it shut down completely and clear out any stored junk data. If you only see experience these issues in specific games or apps, try deleting those and re-install.

Console takes many hours no matter what kind of down load is happening . even updates take a minimum of 2 hours. obviously there's a problem when my xbox360 does same types of down loads in like 15 mins
