Xbox One Hard Drive already to small.

Perhaps because they don't want something "sticking out" of one the USB ports the console has 1 side port and 2 back ports and in some ways it will "add to the size" of the console, instead of having say a 1TB HDD "inside" a console. Some peps prefer stuff
made by "Microsoft", like my 360 slim 250gb HDD on my console, the Dashboard says Microsoft. I have a turtle beach x42 headset. I guess we should go out of our 'comfort zone' every now and then. I sense Seagate is a good brand a lot of retailers in my country
sell that HDD brand.

It doesn't hurt to explore other brands. My battery for my HP Pavilion dv6 fell faulty about 1-2 months. Now I could have gotten one off HP's site for a whopping NZ$249 (what a rip off), but I got one off trade me NZ for NZ$36 and... it works well! Have
had my pavilion since mid 2011.

I still have 280 GBs left so it isn't an issue now and add to this the fact that I will not be buying anymore games because the next things in my list are the 2 Destiny DLC Expansions

You don't have to pay Microsoft, you can use ANY USB 3 compatible hard drive, be that Seagate, Samsung etc

Also, if you think Sonys PS4 is any different your wrong, they also have the same issue of the PS4 being labelled as having a 500Gig hard drive, but your only able to use about 350Gig (or whatever it is)

Also don't forget that even a completely empty 500Gig hard drive doesn't actually have 500Gig, its more like 480Gig or something like that.

 

I bought a 3TB external drive, I have 34 games installed, and the combined space I have left (counting internal and external) is 2.6TB, better than swapping out drives, no limitations, works as expected, flawlessly.

A person creates a thread on topic which already exists and the Forum Police are on them quick as you like with comments such as "what! this thread again.".

Yet if they find an existing thread to post in they get the XFPD on their back for necroposting.

I sometimes get the feeling that some folk just want the forum to die off because every post isn't "everything Microsoft does is brilliant."

On the actual subject though 500gb was too small, especially as you are only actually getting around 370gb to use. With games now taking up 50+gb of space 1tb should have been the minimum.

 

It should have been bigger yes. Of course then we'd have to listen to everyone complain cause they jacked the price up at launch.

 

Jacked up? What by a maximum of £40 (around $60 USD). The prices of a 500gb and 1tb hard drive aren't that much different these days.

Plus that £40 is just the price if I wanted to buy a single 1tb hard drive. With the amount that Microsoft would have been ordering, I think they might just have gotten a decent bulk discount.

 

I just went out and purchased a 1TB External Hard Drive on sale at Best Buy for $70. I just finished transferring all game and game saves to it because I've heard loading times are better with the 3.0 USB used by the external. All is well for my Xbone.
It was really pretty easy too. More so time consuming than anything.

Completely agree this is BS, If you buy a game should be on the disc and not have to download it like every other gaming system has done
