Xbox one hangs when trying to add payment info or trying to buy anything

Firstly, you can actually do all that through this site. To do that, click on your picture up the top right of the screen, and click on "Xbox Settings" and go from there.

That won't fix your console though, so could I get you to try a hard reset. You can do this by having the xbox on, the holding down the power button for 10seconds until the console turns off. Then wait a minute or two before booting it back up. Then try
again and see how it goes

Also, did you buy the console new? Or second hand?

I want to buy it for the XBOX One and was already using xbox.com in order to do so.

According to "support.xbox.com/.../add-xbox-live-payment-option" there should be an option to add or use PayPal, but when I'm trying
to follow these steps, the option of PayPal doesn't even appear. Under "Manage payment options" none of my current payment options are listed and the only buttons that can be used are "Add credit card", "add billing info", the "More Info" (in the "Can’t see
this page? Your browser may need an update. More info") and the exit-cross.

And when I'm trying to purchase something it links me to that screen.

Have you tried to add the payment method using a computer and a console?

Does the error occur in both hardware?

Error Message 80190848 means that the payment method you are trying to use has a billing violation on it. I would suggest also that you go to billing.microsoft.com and check to see if you have anything wrong. Another option is to add a new payment option
and use that one to buy xbox live gold.

What am I trying to buy? - happens with anything I try to buy

Console set to UK, trying to by from UK.

Error - add billing information to continue.

Have checked MS Commerce, no issues with my account that I can see.

If I click on ads billing info, my address and phone number are already populated, then let's you click save and continue, but gives you no option to add any sort of payment method, it just takes you back to the beginning.

If I keep retrying the purchase, eventually it may work, with all my original billing info in place.
