Xbox one Halo Edition turning itself on

Hey there,

I purchased my Xbox one Halo Edition new at the time and have had a faultless run until recently. It has started turning itself on at random times. I do not have Kinect so it can't be that issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Xbox one s keeps turning on by itself

I have a battlefield edition Xbox one s and it keeps turning on by itself I turn I.t of and it does it again

Xbox One turns itself on at night.

We have 2 Xbox One's in the house, a black one and a halo edition one. The Halo edition Xbox keeps turning itself on randomly - mostly at night. Then, after an hour of being on and idle, it will shut itself off per the settings in the unit. It is NOT set
for "Quick Start" and it does NOT have a Kinect attached to it. The TV is an older one, but we turn the TV completely off with a power switch on the side (not a button, a physical toggle switch that kills all power to the TV). There is nothing plugged into
the Xbox except Power, HDMI, and a Network Cable.

Both Xbox's are setup the same, but only the Halo Edition one is having this issue. I would like to fix this.

There can be several reasons why the console is turning itself on. Since you don't have a Kinect, that's one less reason to mind.

Have you tried a proper power cycle?

Is your console connected directly to the wall, or behind a power strip/surge protector? The latter can cause electrical hiccups that could turn the console on. It is officially recommended to plug the console directly into a wall outlet (the Xbox has built-in
surge protection anyway)

Assuming you have the original model Xbox One, the power button is capacitive. Various things can trigger it to turn on, especially hairs or stray wires. Wipe the power button area clean, and keep it clear of objects that could touch it.

Is your Xbox connected to anything that could trigger it to turn on with HDMI-CEC? Check your TV settings. This might happen with A/V receivers as well.

Do you have any IR setups, especially with IR blasters? Confirm the IR settings, and check if anything with IR in the room might trigger to turn the console on.

That's off the top of my head, but the last two are guesses.

there was no legendary edition of Halo 4. there were two versions of the limited edition though, one was with the halo 4 xbox console it was like 400. the limited edition of Halo 4 by itself was 99.99 though. Halo Reach had a legendary edition and
it was 149.99

I think they will because they have had the Original Xbox Halo console edition, Halo 3 console edition, Halo reach console edition and the Halo 4 console edition. Id wait and save up for the Xbox One Halo edition.

I got the Halo Editions for th 360 (Reach and Halo 4 or 5) and the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition.

I hope they will have a Halo edition of the next generation of Xbox. Would get that on day one ;-)

1. Yes, it is a brand new Xbox360 from retail.

2. It's a Halo Black edition. Slim.

3. 250 GB internal hard drive

4. It is a new hard drive.

5. It is an official hard drive.

6. The error occurs as soon as the power is turned on. It will then turn itself off after a short period of time. If the ok is pressed, it will also turn off.
