    xbox one hacked online, the person disabled settings.


    hi, bought son an xbox one for last Christmas, by January playing gta V online, someone hacked his console, and greyed out the online settings for headset, this means he can't communicate by voice, we've tried 3 headsets, and none will un-grey the settings
    so he can use speech. now we could factory restore the console, but we bought him xbox live gold, 1 year, and he still has like 9 months left- so he'd lose that, and as I paid for it, i'm not willing to do that, we've tried all the usual suggestions from the
    xbox community, to do with no voice on headset, checked the volume turned up not muted etc on headphones, its the greyed out bit on actual screen, he should have a sub menu, and it simply isn't there, is there any chance we can return the console to Microsoft
    and let them repair it, obviously still under warranty. Thanks for reading, helpful advice please

    Problem about friends list and other things!

    Sorry to hear that you're upset. However, the person you've tried to add may have the add friends settings disabled via parental settings. This will disable your ability to add people as well as them being able to add friends without parental permission.

    As for the issue with the Xbox One, a person is not obligated to add you as a friend even though you've added them.

    Why doesn't Live "Recent Activity" Show Xbox Logins?

    Hi! If you sign in on your Xbox One, it will absolutely show you as online, if this setting hasn't been disabled. So in this case it's likely to assume the person using the Xbox One has simply disabled this in your profiles settings.

    Please clarify what you'd like to know if I misunderstood your initial post.

    Turning off online hacking

    Any online XP progress will reset to 0 if you turn off online hacking.

    Personally, I have it on, and haven't gotten hacked in ages. It seems like the only time I ever get hacked is if I hack a "Blume employee" in the game and allow that person to call in and "report" me.

    This has existed since the Xbox One launched, unfortunately the only way to stop it is to disable the setting to detect people on Kinect and sign them in manually when the person wants to use the console.

    This is likely an empty threat. If this person does not know the email address and password to your account, then he can not 'hack' it. Individual Xbox LIVE accounts can not be hacked. Be sure to block communications with this person and set them to be
