    Xbox one guide


    Hey Xbox people, well I have this problem with my Xbox guide and I can't seem to figure it out. Xbox support guy couldn't really help out so I'm asking you guys because I seen on here some other people had the same problem but with a different receiver
    brand and someone was able to help out. So my problem is when I try to change the channel it doesn't change. I am watching t.v though my Xbox one and all voice commands work like volume up and volume down and so on but it just won't let me change the channel.
    My satellite brand is shaw\shaw direct and the box is a Motorola hddsr 600. Does any other people who had this same problem earlier on now how to help me out or is there any of my friends from Xbox that may know?

    How do you create non-Live profiles on the Xbox One?

    thats for 360 in the guide button menu. we are talking about xbox one. where nothing makes sense and there is no guide button.

    Did you check to make sure that you're using the correct voice commands? I run into this issue sometimes, and I find out that I'm using the wrong commands. Try verifying the command, to make sure that you're saying the correct thing.

    The controller doesn't even work when i click on a different channell. Still remains the same show.

    On OneGuide you must select select the active show within the channel for it to work, clicking on the actual channel does nothing.

    When saying a channel command, for example 'Xbox Watch HBO', do you get the prompt in the top right which shows said command where the xbox is trying to send the command?

    You could also try using the up/down D-Pad buttons on the contoller (this sends a signal to the set-top box for channel up/down). If that doesn't work then the set-top is likely not recieving these commands correctly.

    Thank you for quick reply.

    I was able to setup my TV. But the steps seem to be old, I no longer see Entertainment or live tv. But managed to set it up.May be you should consider updating the steps.
