XBOX one guide sending duplicate channel numbers to cable box

I have an xbox elite without kinect, but I do have the IR extenders and use either the media remote, or the controller. In either case, when selecting a channel from the one guide the channel number is sent in duplicate. For example, if you select channel
11 the number 1111 is then sent to and received by the cable box. If I use the media remote to change channels by using the channel up or down button, it will change the channel to whatever channel is next to it, but the one guide does not register the change
of channel. And, again, once you pull up the channel listings and select any given channel...say...32...3322 will then be sent to the cable box. I have attempted many different actions to fix this both on my own and with Xbox support, etc, and essentially,
they have admitted that they cannot help me as the problem is more "complex". Don't get me wrong, the person on the chat was very kind and as helpful as they could have been. But, I have also just noticed another posting of this same problem using the kinect
sensor and that this problem has only become a repeat occurrence with the release of the Halo 5 edition and the Elite. Perhaps a software or firmware update is needed.

TV OneGuide -- Multiple Inputs When Changing Channel

I have Consolidated Communications for my cable provider and an Entone cable box. Basically what is happening is when I try to change the channel in OneGuide it will put in duplicate numbers. So when trying to select channel "30" the Xbox will put in "333000"
-- tripling the number inputs. Anyone get anything similar or know a fix????? Seems like an IR issue? Thanks!

 

Xbox won’t change channels through controller

Recently set up One Guide on Xbox One and it loads all my channels fine and let’s me look at them on guide, but will not let me change channel with controller. Only the cable box remote. Any suggestions? PLEASE!

I've had this issue as well but I have a kinect, have you tried adjusting the IR transmit rate? There is a setting for that buried somewhere.
