XBOX One guide freezing errors, black screens, and failure to read discs.

To start, let me expand on the disc issue.

I recently bought Dark Souls 3, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and The Division for my Xbox, and upon installing, I get no message of it installing for around an hour and a half, and once it does acknowledge the disc, installs to one percent then stops, and refuses
to start back up.

I don't know what the issue is, or any recent errors that could've caused that issue itself, but I've had read issues since buying this Xbox, GTAV takes around 30 minutes to launch and most other games take up to 90, only discs though, downloads start and
run instantly.

The freezing errors and blackscreens is a beast on itself, and I recently had a power outage, which I believe caused damage to the Xbox. Started three days ago, and on each startup (soft restart or hard), it starts with a blackscreen for around 10 minutes,
then opens the menu, then freezes until I eject the disc inside. When launching without a disc, the same issue occurs but takes 5 minutes to stop freezing.

Gets annoying when you drop a large investment in disc games without enough foresight to buy downloads, but I don't want to halt being able to run discs.

Brand New FFXIII Game Disc Won't Load Properly

What is the exact issue you are having? Using my Special Edition Limited Final Fantasy XIII - Xbox 360 Regular 250 GB I cannot play FFXIII because I keep getting the following errors: -- Black screen after loading past Square Enix logo -- Black screen
after loading past Sign In -- Black screen after loading past Select a Storage Device -- Failure to Read Disc -- Failure to Copy Disc to HDD If you are having disc read issues: What kind of discs (game, DVD, CD)? Final Fantasy XIII Does this happen with all
discs or just certain ones? Just this game! Seriously. Have you tried replacing the disc? No. The disc is literally in brand new condition, and I shouldn't be forced to give any more of my money away to Square Enix or Microsoft. I'm not forking over any more
money. If you know this game is defective from the manufacturer, I demand an exchange or a refund immediately.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear about the disc troubles. Is your Xbox One console able to read other Xbox One game discs? If your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 continues to experience disc read errors while other discs work, that may indicate the disc needs to be replaced.

Give another disc a try and let us know how it goes!

Your issue definitely sounds like it may be a disc drive issue judging by your description. Does this issue only happen with new games, or are you having issues across the board? Also, if you have your Xbox One plugged into a surge protector/power strip, try
skipping that and plugging directly into a wall outlet to see if there's any change.

2). Navigate to the Games ** by now will see recommended games still circling loading icon

3). Navigate to My Games > Launch a game

4). Experience black screen

5). Press guide button and xbox guide popup

6). Select Xbox Home and experience a console freeze

Disc Games

1). Power on the Xbox 360 with auto sign-in enabled

2). Insert disc, then Play Disc

3). Experience black screen

Vision Verrify

Hi Hungry0rphans,

In the disc troubleshooting Guide there will be described how to remove your HDD. Have you tried that while using another storage Device?

If yes, there's proberly a hardware failure within your Xbox. You also said you have some issues with Freezing.

Try the steps that are been described in
this section of Console Freezing.

This happened to both my 360's exact same thing it reads the game then stops spinning the disc and black screens and if i try to return to the dashboard it freezes.

Also, the error message doesn't stay up long enough for me to read it and then the screen turns black. I can use the xbox button, but as soon as I select something, the system freezes.
