Xbox One Guide does not properly sync with my channels

Discus and support Xbox One Guide does not properly sync with my channels in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; To Whom Can Help, When I set up my Xbox One Guide the first time, it only recognized 8 channels roughly and listed them all completely wrong....     Xbox One Guide does not properly sync with my channels


    To Whom Can Help,

    When I set up my Xbox One Guide the first time, it only recognized 8 channels roughly and listed them all completely wrong. Channel 39 became channel 3, channel 17 became channel 56, and etc. I called 1-800- 4MY-XBOX for support and we did all sorts
    of troubleshooting. The conclusion we came to was that there are compatibility issues among cable providers and Xbox One Guide. I have Optimum as my internet and cable provider which was also the same service my Xbox support guy had (and his Xbox One Guide
    is working). I do not have an Xbox Kinect but use the IR alternative. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the IR cable but would like to get further help on this before investing money in new cables. He also mentioned to post in this forum so that
    if it really is a software/coding issue, that people would see it and maybe it might come out in an update one day. Thank you for your time to those who read.

    Can't get Time Warner Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4240HDC working .

    Whats up with this forum? How do i quote a reply. Now my box is actually functioning with my xb1. Just not properly. I can power on and off. I could also change channels.

    The xb1 guide is actually spot on for the most part. Its just that when select a channel whether i say "xbox watch" or select via the one guide. 70% of the time it goes to an unrelated non hd channel. For example ESPN will go to low def channel 9.

    I have the guide set to HD Only. Also what Weird is that after the xb1 changes the channel to some random low def channel. I usually grab the stb remote so that i could put it on the channel its supposed to be on. And when i pull up the stb guide. It lists
    a different channel than both the xb1 guide and from the one thats actually being played on the tv.

    Basically everything is out of sync.

    I have my tv working properly. One guide displaying properly. But the Xbox One won't change any of the channels...

    I suppose I never properly framed the above as a question...

    1. Does the One Guide in fact support # buttons for channels, and my remote (Harmony 700) doesn't send the right signal?

    2. Is there a way to make the One Guide open directly to favorites that I've missed?

    Which Canadian cable/satellite providers will be supported by the XBOX One guide?

    I have bell fibre op in Moncton NB as my internet and cable provider and the xbox one recognizes it but the channels are not in sync withe the one guide i dont know if i am doing it wrong or what.

    It worked all fine and I could see the picture and volume just cant change the channel through the one guide but No I don't have the Kinect I can change my channel with my regular remote on the xbox one but I cant use the one guide with it so its kind if
    pointless, but I was wondering would the Xbox one media remote work for changing the channels through the one guide? or do I need the Kinect no matter to change channels through one guide? Kinda pointless if I cant use the one guide and just my regular remote
    on my xbox, ill go out and get the media remote if that's what I need

    My One X just did the same thing, however it does not boot properly now either. The 4k chip animation and Xbox logo is laggy. Then the audio plays out of sync and it is stuck on the Xbox One logo....
