    Xbox One Green Screen of Death on certain TV's


    I recently donated my xbox one to my little brother. Some times it will work fine on his TV, but once every 2 or 3 times he turns it on, it will experience the green screen of death, staying on the xbox logo for long periods of time (upwards of 30 minutes) before
    eventually powering down. During this time, you are also unable to eject the disc, or interact with the console in any other way.

    Ive tried clearing the cache and stuff and ive even tried a factory reset using a method I found online.

    The funny thing is though, that to fix the problem, I have to plug his xbox into my tv, where it will start as if nothing is wrong. I had never experienced this issue when i had the xbox in my room, but when its plugged into his Tv, it doesn't seem to like
    it.

    Oh yeah and the console is getting perfectly good airflow in his room, and the console has been kept constantly up to date.

    Anyone got any ideas as Microsoft seems to have removed the official chat support from their site?

    Permanent fix for Green Screen of Death?

    I have had the Green Screen of Death 3 times on my Xbox one and am getting tired of having to go through all the steps every time. Is there a permanent fix for the Green Screen of Death?

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. Sorry to hear you're stuck on the green loading screen. That's never fun, but no worries! What we recommend is that you use our Xbox
    One System Update Solution     to troubleshoot the issue. It not unusual for the green loading screen to remain on the screen if something has happened during a recent update and this should get you back to normal.
