Xbox one green lock screen

My son xbox one s is stuck on a green screen lock. Call Microsoft help desk to everything is still on that screen. What can I do?

That green start up screen is generally due to update errors. We have a troubleshooter for this particular error, when you get a chance please check out the steps on this

One of the fixes Xbox tech support tried on mine was to download a start up program onto a usb memory stick and plug it into the console. Supposedly it would help it initialize and start running again. This may work if you already were using the console.
In my case it did not because my console was dead straight out of the box on day one. Xbox exchanged my dead console for a new one that worked. Hope it does not come to that for you. Just call the tech support number and see if they can send you the start
up sequence or walk you through another fix.

Mine has been stuck on the green screen for hours I have tried unconnecting power and reseting but is still stuck on the green screen. is this possibly green screen of death?

yeah that's correct and if for some reason it still doesn't work make sure you unplug the power cord and if you have an Ethernet connection make sure you unplug it as well. leave it off for about 1min and then plug everything in and that should fix the issue.
