Xbox One Grainy Picture

Hi,for some strange reason my xbox one is now displaying a faint grainy screen when i power on but is resolved by just restarting the console??has anyone else had this and can shed some light on it?Any help would be gratefull

if you're using the HDMI cables to your television, try checking with a friend to see if you can try his cables. This sounds to me like there is some sort of problem with the information traveling TO your television. If you're using the colored RGB cables,
try the same thing, borrow them from a friend. Possibly try another television with your Xbox and your cables. If the Xbox works fine with one television, and not the other, then it's a t.v issue. Same goes with the cables, if your xbox and everything works
fine with HIS cable, but still grainey on yours then it's a cable issue. It's basically trial and error. WORST case scenario, it's an Xbox issue. Hope this helps some.

Hi there, is it only grainy when playing a game or is it the same on the Dashboard too?

Have you tried using a different cable to see if the problem still persists, there may actually be a problem with the Xbox 360's GPU or another hardware issue which would need repairing if that was the case.

If the Xbox 360 is still in warranty I would telephone Xbox Customer Support in your region to arrange a repair.

 

You can try to reset your console display settings. If that doesn't work try connecting the console to another display to see if its a problem with the TV.

 

Sadly im at work till 5pm(Uk) so will try when i get home,any chance someone from microsoft support can shed some light on this too so i have options when i get home?

 

Please check the display settings if the TV connection is configured to "auto". If so, please change this to "hdmi" as it may be an issue with the handshaking between your TV and the One.

 

I was also having this exact problem. I checked and my settings were for Auto-Detect. Hopefully switching to HDMI will solve the issue. Just wanted to let you know that you were not alone on this.

 

Yup, changing to HDMI did NOT fix the issue. Still dim upon turning on the X1 the next day...
