Xbox one gold redeeming code will not work :(

For some odd reason my Xbox will not let me redeem my Xbox gold code for my 12 month membership. It keeps giving me this code to fix the issue and every time I do the code the code won't work. We have tried to redeem my membership online and on Xbox and
ended with the same result of nothing. Still no Xbox gold and because I don't have Xbox gold it won't let me play some of my games... I'm very sad and hopefully xbox can fix the issue

cant redeem points code!!!

I'm having trouble redeeming Xbox Live Gold 12 months. Returns the code: 801613c9. I've tried with 2 Xbox Live Gold Pre-Paid and did not work, always returns the same error.

We're having the same issue. Keep getting the "Something went wrong" error message? Driving me crazy! The code still shows up as "unused", so I guess there's still that?

Same issue here. I redeemed a Gold Battlepack code on this website and it didn't work. I redeemed a bronze battlepack code ingame and it worked just fine. I think Palamino might be correct in thinking that the code was applied to xbox 360 through this website
and not xbox one.

I don't know if anyone else already posted the solution to this, but a friend had the same issue with the same error. The problem was, he was trying to redeem a code over a trial gold. Live Gold and Gold Trial, doesn't mix up, that's why the solution is
to let the gold subsciption end and then redeem the code. So if you have a Live Gold and try to redeem a Trial code (like the one included with the xbox) or the other way around, it won't work.

I can't redeem any codes! I work hard for my money. I purchased an Xbox One, bought a card for a 3 month Xbox Live Gold Membership, & $15 card. None of the codes work when typed in. I tried the error code into their error code search & nothing worked!

Hey Lori,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. What error message do you get when you try to redeem the code? Is this a gold card or a currency card? Keep in mind that the gold card will not work if you have a past due gold sub charge on your account.

Also, try redeeming the code from both the website, and the console. Make sure you log into the correct account before redeeming the code :
