    Xbox one gold not recognized


    Hi. I have a valid gold subscription which was used to download a free game a few weeks ago. Today I'm unable to download a free gold offering. I'm properly signed in but when I click on "free with gold" I get taken to the page asking me to purchase a membership.
    It almost looks like I go from signed in to not signed in when I start with anything in the gold area. Held the on button in for ten seconds to restart everything but it's the same issue. Any help to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    PBR40441 - Redeemed Gold 1 month trial through microsoft.com, not showing on Xbox One

    About a week and a half ago I redeemed the one month trial for Xbox Live Gold to play multiplayer. This was done through an offer on microsoft.com. Logging into the website Services & Subscriptions, it shows my Xbox account as being an Xbox Gold subscriber.
    However, using the same account on my Xbox One, the Gold membership is not recognized. Every time I go to play multiplayer or use a Gold feature I get booted to the "buy gold" screen or get the error PBR40441 "That's as many as you can have." Any ideas how
    to get Gold recognized on my machine?

    You are curremtly silver or free membership whichbwould be why unless you are talking about another profile

    Thanks ngocphi ! But how the heck did I download World of Tanks a couple of weeks ago. Wasnt that a Gold game? I know what you mean though as I'm looking at my profile on here now and I don't see the Gold Membership I purchased last December . Now....I was
    forced to create a new identity last month due to an error code, could that be the issue? (still I cant figure out the World of tanks thing though....could have sworn that was part of the Gold plan).

    Guess the only answer is to buy another Gold membership as my other one has mysteriously disappeared after 9 months. Strange days indeed....

    You had to have gold to play however

    If the membership on your account ran out early I would suggest contacting Xbox Support by phone and they should be able to see what is going on as Ngocphi mentioned and they should be able to help you resolve your issue.

    Thanks guys. I've just re-upped for another year. not worth the hassle. It was started dec 25th so I'm not out that much anyway. Ill keep a closer watch on things from now on.

    HaloJolly is correct in that the Kinect will only recognize one of you as the profile holder. You could set up an extra account on the Xbox One for your wife. The One has a Home Gold feature that allows all profiles to share gold if one account has it, so
    that it will automatically recognize her as her own profile (unless you prefer it see her as a guest).
