    Xbox One gold membership problem


    Hi. A few days ago my 14 days gold membership expired so I bought a 3 month gold membership from a shop. I selected "Go gold with friends" on my home page and I pressed "Go gold". I had 3 options to buy and "Use a code". I pressed use a code, I entered
    the code and everything went fine, no error or something like that. After this I tried to entered in "The Crew" but it said that I have to be gold to play this game. I pressed the power button for 10 seconds and then I tried again, same thing. I thought it
    was a problem with the servers so I stopped the console and I tried again today, after ~12 hours but it's the same. And, if helps with something, I'm from Romania.

    My son has a gold membership on his 360. I don't have a gold membership. If I add my son's profile to my new Xbox One, then it will give me gold membership as well?

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble. First off, Romania is not an official Xbox Live country. This means that it is not available there. Also, Gold is region locked which means that your gamertag would need to be set to the country that the membership
    is for in order for it to work. If you have a local shop that is selling memberships you're going to need to find out which country that membership is for.

    Hi. After a few searches on the shop's forum I'm pretty sure the code it's for Great Britain. What should I do now ?

    I migrated my account to UK & re-downloaded my profile but it didn't help..

    being pretty sure and being certain are two different things. if the code is not working then it's for a different region and you're account is now stuck in UK for the next 4 months

    Ah, that could be the problem. Xbox 360 games with gold games are your to keep regardless of your Live status. However, xbox one games with gold require a gold membership in order to play them. Once you renew your membership then you should have access
    to the content again.

    I was with the same problem. Playing BF4 online and the game just came offline telling me i must get gold to play. Then I received an email form MS stating that my account was canceled. I haven't requested it. Something very strange is going on. Instead
    of fixing it they're making it worse. I want my gold account back now. I already paid for it. It will expire only next year.

    The email text is bellow:
