Xbox One Gold Account Issues

Hi all for the last week I have been unable to access xbox one marketplace and internet but everything else has functioned. The last 2 days I can't access my account as it says I'm not a gold member even though it's valid till 2015 and I can't access my
account on the web site.

Any idea what's going on?

First time use/setup

Hi. I've bought a day one edition for my boys a surprise for Xmas but not had a chance to test it yet. Because one of my lads already has a 360 in his room with his own gold account, I am going to set up the xbox One with his as the primary account fir the gold access as that way we can use the same gold account on his 360 and the shared Xbox one.

However, if I set the Xbox one up late one night presumably I will have to add the primary/gold account that it will use (I.e my son's) as part of the initial set up . Then I'll try it with one of the games. So by doing this, when he next uses his 360 will he see that his account had been used on an Xbox one? Obviously I don't want him to suspect there is an Xbox one in the house!!!

Can You Play Online With Any Gamertag If

on the XBOX One if you have one gold account set as primary console you can choose to share gold with the other accounts on the console.

There are currently some service alerts out, but today they're mainly about downloading things.

Yesterday however, there were known issues with people signing in, so it's possible you're just feeling the after-effects of this.

Try power cycling the console (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) and while it is off, restart your local network. If your issue is the result of lingering issues,
that should sort it out.

There is a known issue with accounts saying they are not gold when they are - try telephone support as they have access to accounts.

Hey there,

It looks like the account you're posting from is an Xbox Live Silver account. Is there an Xbox Live Gold account on your Xbox One console that was sharing the Gold privileges with your account? With the Xbox One Home feature, you can share Xbox Live Gold
with any other account that is signed into that console, however that feature does not work on an Xbox 360 console, which is why you may notice that Gold features work on one console and not the other.

Keep us posted if that helps clear up what the issue may be.

After removing the account, upon sign in, xbox one showed me the "Xbox One is better with Gold" screen and asked if I'd like to buy Gold.. Clearly still having the same issue.

Is there something else we can try helping with that you might be having an issue with? Aboredape gave a pretty good description of how to change your home xbox so both xboxs can use the gold account. Maybe it's something else your having issues with now?
Both consoles will have to have the main account downloaded to the console. The gold account can play from any console with gold privileges. Your home xbox will need to be the one set up for the child account to pmay without having the gold account logged
in. On the non home xbox as long as the gold account is logged in then the child account can utilize the gold that way too.
