Discus and support Xbox One Goes to "Sleep" while watching Live TV in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Just today, while watching Live TV, the Xbox will darken the screen after about 10 minutes.     Xbox One Goes to "Sleep" while watching Live TV


    Just today, while watching Live TV, the Xbox will darken the screen after about 10 minutes. Have to hit a button on the controller or glass app to wake back up.

    Is there some setting I can change to fix this?

    Feature request...

    Thanks for the feature request, I'll let the team know. Xbox has a sleep timer, but we consider watching TV to be active, so it won't go to sleep while Live TV is on.

    Please add this as the option for xbox to turn of while watching tv on a sleep timer so I can watch it whilst going to sleep and have it switch off whilst I'm sleeping switching tv off aswel so needed and would be amazing thank you!

    Thanks for the feature request, I'll let the team know. Xbox has a sleep timer, but we consider watching TV to be active, so it won't go to sleep while Live TV is on.

    I have this issue on my console too. Found a workaround that works for me, thought I'd share.

    Ive found that the screen dimming thing only starts happening after I've been in a game and then gone to watch tv.

    It doesnt happen if i go straight into oneguide from startup. If i play a game and then want to watch tv afterwards i restart my system and go straight into oneguide.

    Its a bit of a pain still but not as bad as having to nudge the controller every 15 mins

    Same thing when watching twitch, very annoying and frustrating. I use xboxone mainly for streaming, now there's no point in using it unless you're playing a game (what a world huh).
