Xbox One goes to home screen when attempting to change gamerpic

To whom this may concern;

I"m having an issue with my account related to changing my gamer pic, When I attempt to change the gamer pic, the application quits itself and goes back to the xbox one home screen. I do have the ability to change my avatar and make a 'custom' gamer pic
with that avatar.

I've attempted to have this issue resolved by a chat representative. The representative took me through various steps to attempt to resolve the issue. From signing out of my profile, clearing my persistent storage 3 times, signing back in, also restoring
my console to factory settings does not resolve the issue. I'm at a loss. I believe this is on xbox lives end as I'm now using 'clean' software on my newly purchased xbox one.

I've been assigned a case number by the representative and will share if requested.

Changing your Xbox One gamerpic is easy! Your gamerpic is the image that's displayed in your profile for friends and other gamers to see. You can select an available gamerpic or use your avatar to create a custom gamerpic. To change your gamerpic,
on your Xbox One - carry out the following steps:

• Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
• Go to the top icon in the guide and select View profile.
• Select Customise profile.
• Select Change gamerpic.

Follow the steps shown to either select an available gamerpic or create a gamerpic by using your avatar. I hope this helps and good luck on solving your issue. If this didn't solve your issue, make sure to comment on this post so that another

This does seem to be a known issue if you are in the 1410 update preview. more information regarding that here in the preview forums if you are part of the program: forums.xbox.com/.../1833620.aspx

It does appear they released an update for preview members to resolve this issue.

I am on the most up to date version of the software, as I mentioned I performed a full system factory restore which automatically downloads and apples the latest update available. The same error occurs when I select 'change gamer pic' I get a spinning wheel
for about 3-5 seconds then booted back to the home screen.

 

Just to clarify, this solution did not fix my issue. The case should still be open...
