    Xbox One gives "It's All Good" message when connected, but won't connect


    It's an xbox one that's worked fine for the last 18 months, but suddenly no longer connects to the internet. When I try tests other than test connection, I get errors such as "you need an internet connection to do this test" or "error code 0x00000000 try
    again".

    Like I said, it's been working fine on my college campus for 18 months, and I've had a long talk with the networking team here and they've assured me that the problem is not on their side.

    I've reset it several times, tried a different port, tried a different cable, changed DNS settings, changed MAC address, and none of it worked. I just am hoping that I'm not the first person to ever have this problem, and someone can tell me how to fix it.

    I really don't want to send it in to microsoft and pay a ridiculous $135 fee for such a small repair on an otherwise completely fine machine.

    Connecting to XBL and DNS issues

    I can't connect to XBL. It connected fine last night. I have connected directly through the modem and it connects to the internet but won't connect to XBL. When testing the connection through the xbox one it tells me "it's all good" and that I'm connected
    to the internet but it won't connect to XBL. Trouble shooting through the support forums and through the xbox one utility resolves nothing. Also attempting to connect through my wired router gives me the "DNS isn't resolving xbox server names" error. Any help
    would be appreciated.

    I am fully connected to the internet but my xbox one won't connect to the multiplayer connection . i have tried unplugging my ethernet cable and using wireless but that doesn't work either . when i select the "test network connection" ti gives my the all
    ok message , but then i select the "test multiplayer connection" and it says i am not connected . the message it gives me is your network is not setup , yet it is . I've tried to setup the internet connection but that doesn't work either ,
    please help.

    Are you a part of the insider program? If so...your issue may deal with an update that occurred today.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
    the results.

    That's how one of the support people had me try a hard reset, and unfortunately it didn't work. Tried again with the same result.

    Well, sent the machine in to Xbox and they replaced it, and now everything works fine. The support people have been a little cryptic on what the actual problem is, or if they ever actually fixed the original console.
