Changing gamer tag

You can't change a gamertag into a previously owned one but you could sign in to the Windows 10 Xbox app with the old one though.

According to that article Pro only delays updates for 8 months which for some businesses running business specific software could still be an issue.

But, no I'm not concerned but I also don't rely on my pc like many do. If I was a pc gamer then I'd probably be a little apprehensive at this point.

 

I knew you were just messing with me but this applies to the One for the same reasons.

If they rush this and an update bonks something you won't be gaming, watching Netflix, doing Kinect shows, or anything. Before they put it on anything updates need to have a rollback option that we can do on our end. Mistakes happen but don't make us endure
them any longer than necessary.

Actually, If you have Windows 7 or 8 (8.1) Pro you'll be getting. Windows 10 Pro.

Same goes for the Home editions of 7 and 8. You'll go to Windows 10 Home.

The problem our resident PC elitist describes is contained within a small aspect of the Insiders program.

I have a dual NVidia card with SLI and my setup is fine.

That and the article in question is writer by a Apple fanboy who just wants Microsoft to fail.

Windows 10 is ready to go. And Xbox One fall update will be better for it.

Fear not fellow PC users. Windows 10 is here and here to stay.

Microsoft has confirmed that both of the broken updates have happened and has stated they are working on fixes for them. You're telling us that an update that MS conformed broke Nvidia SLI and multi-monitor support didn't impact you....well aren't you special.
I assume the Windows Explorer patch didn't impact you either.

The mandatory update complaints are all over the internet and you'd have to be living under a rock to not know that people aren't happy about it.

No matter how much you want to even you can't always defend Microsoft....at least and have any creditability.

Do you not see the correlation between Win 10 getting rushed to the PC and it getting rushed to the console?

Console has mandatory updates, no option to rollback or delete/opt out of bad updates. Sound familiar? Every One owner should be concerned about Win 10 on the console and making it clear to MS that it had better work.

My stating that he shouldn't be excited considering they are rushing it to the PC doesn't derail the thread. People should be concerned or at least have some knowledge of MS's track record with OS updates when it could be impacting the One as early as the
end of summer.

You are one of several people here that just don't have the ability to see the big picture on any topic. You guys spend more time attacking the people you believe are slighting MS than actually understanding what they are saying and having a productive discussion.
