Xbox One - Gesture hand no longer appears

The gesture hand that was showing up previously when I used hand gestures on Netflix doesn't appear on the screen any more. I can still control the screen with my hand but it is very difficult without being able to see the hand.

Also there is a setting for Kinect that says hide the gesture hand during video playback, I have that off and I still have this problem. Even rebooted completely and I still have the problem. help!

It is possible to me control the screen, but the hand doesn't appear.

I am having the same problem as well. The hand appeared for gestures until just a few days ago. Now it won't appear at all. I wonder if there was a system or Kinect update that has caused an issue?

 

OK, for my issue - found a resolution. Unplug the XBOX One completely from power, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in and restart it. Once the cold boot cycle is done and the home screen appears, the hand cursor is back. Quick and easy resolution, at least
for my XBOX One.

 

Try to unplug replug Kinect cable and power supply cable.

 

it works when you don't want it too and it will stop playing

 

The hard restart only worked for a while, and the hand has disappeared again. If anyone has found a more permanent fix, please do share!

 

I bought my Xbox One YESTERDAY and within an hour I was having this same problem. The gestures work, but the cursor won't show up... So I can't see what I'm doing. In order to get it to work properly, I have to turn off the console and unplug it. Then,
when I reboot, it works for about an hour and then reverts back to the same problem.
