Xbox One | Gears of war 2 + 3 xbox 360 version (DVD) | 0x8082000c error on Xbox one

Just bought gears of war 2 and 3 for the xbox 360. They are in the list of backward compatible games, i however, get the error code "0x8082000c". I cannot play and/or install the game. What can I do to fix this?

Gears of war vs Gears of War Ultimate Edition

Is there any differences between Gears of War Xbox 360 version compared to Gears of War Ultimate Edition for the Xbox One? Because I just got my codes for gears of war, gears of war 2, gears of war 3, and gears of war judgement from microsoft for playing the gears of war ultimate edition and was wonder do I really need the 360 version of gears of war on my x1 since I done own the ultimate edition for the x1?

Stop and think. Gears of War 1 ,2, 3, Judgement were originally released for xbox 360. They are made playable on xbox one via an emulator.

The codes you were given are the actual 360 games, as there was never an xbox one version of them. When you run a 360 game on the xbox one, it downloads an xbox one compatible version, as the 360 version can't run natively on xbox one.

Let's have you try to Power Cycle the console and see if that helps first.
How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console. If not, are you having any other problems playing other Xbox One or Xbox 360 games?

 

Im having the same issue, none of the games: Gears of war 2 and 3 xbox 360 are recognized. Im getting also the error code 0x8082000c, i have restarted my console in all the ways that How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console post says, any ideas

Sorry to hear about the issue. So to be clear, you have attempted all the steps listed in the link provided by Mister Mascot, correct? If so, the next steps I would suggest are:

• Removing Your Xbox Live Profile from your Xbox One Console
  
• Power Cycle Your Xbox One Console
  
• Re-add your Xbox Live Profile (Steps are provided in first link above)
