    Xbox one gaming microphone not working


    Hello, I’ve searched the web and found numerous complains of this question and have tried everything that I’ve found. Still nothing works. Figured i’d give specifics of what i have.

    Original xbox one ( not one x or s)

    kinnect

    xbox one elite controller



    headset that is giving me problems is the Lucid Sound LS31LE gaming headset. I set it up like it shows on the tutorial and I can hear sound and people talking ( xbox live chat ) on the earphones themselves but when i speak, the mic seems to be inop. Yes
    ive reset my xbox manually, ive cleaned out the 3.5mm jack, ive made sure everything is properly connected and secure but still nothing. I have updated my elite controller . Ive tried using my old controller ive tried using headset adapter and nothing seems
    to work. Anybody have a different alternative fix or same problem with these specific headaets please let me know thanks

    That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
    or game chat.

    Fortnite - Microphone Won't Work

    We just purchased a HyperX Cloud Stinger Core headset for our XBox One, and the microphone will NOT work in the game Fortnite. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, what was the fix? It is only happening in Fortnite.
    The microphone works fine when plugged into my phone or in XBox Party mode. The sound works in Fortnite, but not the microphone.

    Hello,

    Not any Microphone will work with the XBOX 360 via USB. You need to have one that actually works with the XBOX 360 system and doesn't require any sort of drivers to be installed.

    I have used the MadKatz Rockband 3 USB Microphone (It works with both the XBOX 360 and the PS3), I also have a Lips microphone which works as well. But as I said, not all wireless microphones will work so your better off getting one that's proven to work. Just
    search online in some retailers to see if it works with Rock Band 3 on the XBOX 360.
