Xbox One Gaming Headsets

Hello Xbox One community,

I am in need of a Xbox One gaming headset that is very comfortable. I'm also hoping not to spend a ton of money. We currently have the Turtle Beach XO4s but the padding is too stiff for my wife. I also bought the Skullcandy Slyr headset but that was also
very stiff padding.

Does any of you fine ladies and gentlemen have any suggestions? In all honesty I wish there was an easy way to use Bose headsets but all the research I have done suggests it'll be a hassle and may not even work.

Why not just change the cushions?

 

I have an old pair of Turtle Beach X41's that are very comfortable. Unfortunately the audio for chat is sort of a Rube Goldberg arrangement, which makes it difficult to adjust if a setting gets accidentally changed.

I bought a set of TB XO4's as well, and I too find them uncomfortable to wear for anything longer than about 30 minutes.

I'd like to not have spend $200 on a something comfortable, that has half decent sound quality.

 

The problem isn't that the cushions are old or worn down. It's because they're just naturally really stiff. They also don't sell different cushions for the XO4s.

 

I didn't think you could (easily) change the cushions....

 

All I can suggest is to not try the Skullcandy Slyrs, they're just as uncomfortable.

 

turtle beach p12 will set you back about £30 plus an adaptor for £20. They are designed for ps4 but actually work better with the XO imo. They can be used with anything that has a headphone jack also.

The sound quality isnt the best but it is very good for the price. I paid £85 for my last set and I notice no difference. Saying that im not a Cod Boi who needs to hear footstep directions etc.

 

Changing cushions couldn't be easier.

I have changed my X41's cushions using different model #'s

You just need to know the shape of the cushion (round or oval) and at just $1.95 each you can experiment as to what works for you.

Well OP if you plan on spending a bit of money then I say go with the TURTLE BEACH BLACK OPS 2 TANGOS. I love the one I have. Great headset that actually rivals and surpasses any current headset.

.Battery life is over 8 hours and usb charged. I game pretty heavily so believe me when I say that the battery life is amazing.
