Xbox One Gameshare

Hello,

I am sharing games between two Xbox Ones in the same household. The whole Home Xbox thing and such, to where two accounts can play the same game at once.

Anyways, recently, games purchased on one account, say my roommates, have not been able to be played, or even downloaded on the other, AKA mine. All games bought before this issue however, are able to be played.

This issue is only a one way issue as well. Games bought by me can be played and downloaded on the other account. Both accounts are correctly set with the My Home Xbox thing, so I have no idea what is causing the issue.

The games do not show up under "Ready to Install" and going to the Store only gives me an option to buy them. Signing in to my roommates account and trying to download or play them also only gives me an option to buy them, all though it is the account used
to purchase them in the first place.

EDIT: I should add that the issue only took place after setting up an External HDD.

Can two of my friends gameshare with me at the same time?

You can only with one ( gameshare only works between 2 consoles)

 

Question about gamesharing with a friend who ran out of them?

So I have one gameshare left because I used my other two (i really dont want to go into the story would take to long) and im going to try and gameshare with a friend of mine but the problem is that he doesnt have any gameshares left so can i still log into
my account on his xbox and set it as my home and then get the games on my xbox? or since he doesnt have any gameshares left will it not work?

 

Keep in mind that you can only set ONE Xbox One as your home console, in your situation you have 2 xbox ones, yours and your room mates, you can share your content to their xbox and they can share their content to yours, but if you go back to your xbox and
sign into a different account other than yours and try to play your game, you won't be able to because it isn't your home xbox, and if you reach your reset limits for the home console you can call support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX to reset your attempts.

 

The issue isn't related to incorrect Home Xboxes.

As previously stated, I can still play shared content that was previously downloaded before the issue started happening. I just cant make use of any newly purchased content by my roommate.

 

Is your roommate part of the preview program?

 

That's the issue. With the current update, any content that is purchased on a console with the preview program can only be used on that console or another console with the preview program. Once the update is released to the public, you will be able to share
everything normally again.
