Xbox one games won't read when INITIALLY inserted

So, I've ran across something that I just want to make sure is okay, especially with all the talk of faulty disc drives. For the very first time the game is inserted into the Xbox, it doesn't seem to recognize the disc. When I hit eject, the disc pops out
a little, then pops right back in, then the game is recognized. After the install and everything is complete, it will receive and eject the disc normally, with no problem. I've never experienced any of the grinding noises or anything like that, I just want
to know if this is something I should be concerned about. Thank you in advance!

Xbox one x spins the disc all the time

Hey!

My Xbox one x reads the disc inserted all the time even when im not playing that game. So my console is quiet but with disc in i keep hearing the reading of disc sound.

Is it normal or?

 

Dying light redeem code not working?

Hello, I have just bought dying light for my xbox one and installed the game. Initially my xbox was not reading the disc when i inserted it, hard set it and inserted again, still nothing. I inserted my Kinect sports rivals, xbox read it fine, put dying light
back it and it seemed to work (weird) i don't know if anyone else has had this problem, as it seems to be the first time it has happened to me. ANYWAY sorry for the side track, i have just redeemed 2 of the expansions that i got with the game, but one of them
does not wanted to REDEEM!!!! I have attempted it with the kinect and even typing it in manually a ton of times and even tried it through this xbox website. All i keep getting is the sorry , try again later message. Whats going on? can some one help me. It
seems weird that my other 2 redeem codes worked fine but not the 3rd? Any advice would be nice

I would be concerned- its not normal behavior. I would contact MS and start a repair process or return the console for a replacement. support.xbox.com/.../repair-process

 

I have somewhat of the same problem, it worked fine at first but lately I've been having a problem with it reading my disc saying they are dirty which is definitely not the case. This problem is very annoying! I don't want to have to hard reset my console
every time I want to play a game.

 

Hello, I would just like to know what you did in this situation haha because my Xbox literally started doing this out of nowhere also.

 

Mine does the same thing. I believe this is a software issue. Only started happening after one of the recent updates to the console.
