    Xbox one games won’t launch


    i have an orginal xbox one i can put in a game disk and it will install it and update it and then questions if i own it and wants me to buy a digital copy. Here is what i know/have done

    Doesn’t work with brand new or old games

    i have a brand new xbox live account

    it wasnt working so reset to factory defaults and still no go

    i have power cycled

    i have tried multiple disks

    i have ensured i’m comnected to xbox live

    i have cleaned them

    short of replacing them i have followed every step of the troubleshooter and it still does not work

    what is causing this?

    This has happened to me as well sometimes when I have downloaded games off gamepass.
    Thank you for the reply… Unfortunately these are not downloaded games they are all store-bought disk games

    Hi there,

    it sounds like you did some selfmade repairs since you mentioned: "I swapped out the controller on the drive as it is married to the Motherboard."

    I'm afraid nobody will be able to assist with selfmade repairs in the forums.

    Has it always done this or just since the latest update?
    It has done this since I got it (Used) I bought it in September of last year but it didn't get brought out till xmas. (So I don't know when last update was but it sat offline from Sep till xmas) I did a factor reset as well which I don't know if that
    knocks it back to the original OS etc but right after the factor reset it was doing it as well.
